Not to hate on L at all, but a lot of these "unreleased freestyles" are just verses that L probably already wrote for collabs or for Lifestylez ov Da Poor & Dangerous. Not like I know that this track is a definite freestyle, but I like how dukes stumbles a bit in places, I like how his flow sounds a tiny bit awkward, that's how you can tell the shit is authentic.

This was Sky's single for The Salvation, and to be 1000% honest I didn't really feel this track when it came out. Prolly cos I hate on anything that earns shine, but when I hear this track now I realize it's some true piff. Not really indicative of The Salvation's mediocrity, but still a really dope joint.

Mos Def-Hip Hop

Just cos I been bumping Black On Both Sides to no end & it was between the Primo-produced Mathematics and this jawn. To be perfectly honest, Mos comes so fucking hungry and raw on this track that you can't deny the pure outpour of emotion.
This is one of those joints you have to listen to multiple times before you really begin to understand the many complexities and layers to what Mos is saying.

I've liked this track for a long-ass time, but it took the video for me to truly enjoy this jawn fully. The video is really interesting, and fully embraces the concept of Sean P as a therapist (not the most believable impersonation, but I can't front on dukes either). Dope track overall, I don't really like the hook, but I ain't complaining either..

This jawn is off that seminal Change Gon' Come tape that I done been raving about. I remember a few years back I used to have this whole tape burned to a cd & this tape got so much play, like I was reciting Big Pooh's adlibs word for word. This is off the type ghey-ly titled 9 Lives. That punchline-heavy shit you've come to expect from Anthony on a straight belligerent tip.
Actually, to be perfectly honest, I didn't really like this track the first few times I heard it. Most of AZ's shit is straightforward like that, you either like it or are indifferent to it upon first listen. This track is different though, I feel like AZ tried a new sound, and while he didn't entirely master it, he still provided a good listen.
