Shyne- The Hit

Not sure why I didn't post this during the relegated Shyne Po week, but it's dope enough to deserve a post regardless. Shyne has some of the best storytelling abilities of any Bad Boy artist not including Big. On The Hit, he tells a story of a heist/criminal activity gone wrong, sounds like a scene off of GTA IV.

G*Two- Army Of One

If you didn't already know, I fucks with my dude G*Two something serious. This was the first song I ever heard from him, and it instantly caught my interest. Although this jawn isn't even two minutes, shit still bangs harder than a Mayweather punch to the jaw. The production isn't too bad either.

George Carlin- Religious People

Maybe it's just me, but I believe Carlin's best work was done while discussing religion. Any time the subject of religion is ever bought up, this sound clip should always be referenced.

has-lo: You Can Live Through Anything If Magic Made It

I remember Trav from WYDU was big uppin' has-lo something serious at the start of the year. Sadly, I just heard the tape, and it has been on constant repeat for the last few weeks. Look at the cover, a Magic Johnson trading card, that's imaginative and dope.
The music inside is even better, has-lo has some of the illest beats I've ever heard. Spine-crushingly dope, I promise.
Prime example is the OG version of Best To Do It by Supastition, Royce Da 5'9 and Elzhi. Now peep game:

Dope, ehh?
Here's some other sick cuts:

Sean Price- Onion Head remix

Nas- Shootouts remix

01 Intro
02 Big Pun - Leather Face (has-lo remix)
03 O.C. - Time's Up (has-lo remix)

05 Cormega - Montana Diaries (has-lo remix)
06 Interlude #1
07 Ghostface Killah - Love Session (has-lo remix)
08 Sean Price - Onion Head (has-lo remix)

DJ Babu feat. Termanology- Guns' Gon Blow

DJ Babu is one of the premier producers of our generation for a variety of reasons. Dude has incredible skillz in the lab and on the turntable. His Duck Season series has quietly been getting better and better, with the quality of the Statik Selektah series, just not as much hype.
For Guns Gon' Blow, he pulled out some of his iller shit and Term laced it with some fine spitting.

DJ Premier- That White Instrumental

Not that this is anywhere near Primo's best, but for an experimental instrumental, the shit doesn't sound half bad. Fat Joe didn't exactly make That White very memorable, so the instrumental version is probably the only one worth having. That is unless you like hearing lackluster Joey Crack verses regarding his influence on backpack rap in the Boogie Down. His influence is none, by the way.

Cormega feat. Lil' Fame- 718

When I copped Who Am I?, I ended up listening to this joint far more than any other jawns. I'm not sure why, especially considering Fizzy Womack's prominent appearance for a good half of the whole song.
Still, when 'Mega grabs the mic he laces it with the best verse off the whole album. And the beat is something else.

Cunninlynguists feat. Masta Ace-Seasons

I typically can't stand these jawns that try to pull on your heartstrings and reminisce about the good ol' days of hip-hop like it's Satchel Paige or some shit. However, Deacon, Kno, and Mr. SOS almost match Masta Ace's incredibly dope lyrical outburst.
RJD2 delivers something proper on the instrumental, providing an sick canvas for waxing poetic in terms of hip hop as seasons. A good concept track.

Das Efx- Microphone Master

Some mafuckin' Das Efx fo that ass! Diggity dope mang.
This comes off Hold It Down (their third effort), and is one of those few Das Efx songs that you can light some incense to. There's something so lax about this jawn that's hard to put into words. Jus' some dope shit you need in your life.
