Kidz In The Hall-Wassup Jo

Off School Was My Hustle, actually a pretty dope tape with quite a few ill instrumentals. This definitely being one of them & these dudes rip it type proper. The whole revolution shit is corny, but this track is solid as a whole and surely worth a listen. Instrumental is majestic, I promise!

LA The Darkman-Lucci

Damn, I wish I could've held it down with LA The Darkman, just smoking buddha and playing Madden '97. That's the life! It's been a while since I've heard Heist Of The Century, but it still holds up as one of the great underground albums of that era. Dukes is far from just a Wu affiliate, I mean listen to this track, he made an anthem for everyone collecting greenbacks in the '98.

Oliver Nelson-Stolen Moments

I done been copped a bunch of jazz albums in the last few days, so I should be blessing my beloved readers with some more sax & horn in the near future. The first album I got into was Oliver Nelson's The Blues And The Abstract Truth.  Definitely an interesting listen, and the first track sets an unbelievable expectation, but I felt like the rest of the album didn't really match up to Stolen Moments. Then again I've only heard the tape once so I'm not really qualified to say shit...
Either way, try and tell me this shit doesn't bop.

Tyler The Creator & Domo Genesis-Double Cheeseburgers

I really hate to jump on these guys' bandwagon, but I can't deny that these kids are consistently releasing ill material. This jawn particularly stood out to me cos of the simplistic beat & Domo's flow. Tyler's verse sounds a bit awkward at first, but he ends up delivering some clever witticisms & Domo's verse, although short, proves to be well dope.

Just so no one misses it, look at Primo in the back! This is the ultimate coolout jawn, I mean Guru just drops science on a '92 tip. I honestly don't like Daily Operation very much, but this jawn is truly one of the gems off that tape. Especially when Preem drops production like this...

Elzhi feat. Fes Roc-The Science

I can honestly say that I have been slacking with this blog, on the real. I apologize for that.
Anyway, this is off The Preface from '08. Not to jock Elzhi (not like I have to, dudes rode this tape like none other in the summer of '08) but dukes really crafted something amazing in The Preface. So many standout jawns and the album as a whole is incredibly cohesive and flows very well from song-to-song. That said, El did get partially bodied by Fes Roc on this track, Fes kills it.

Re-Up Gang:Re-Up Intro

These We Got It 4 Cheap tapes got some serious shine when they came out, and still sound good to this day. Numerous gems on those tapes, but the crown jewel has to be this jawn. While it isn't as sentimentally provoking as other tracks in the Clipse discog, it's right up there with the ferocity of the punchlines and the rewind factor present throughout the entire track.
