illest Queensbridge Emcee-Nas

This one was no contest. Much as I fucks with 'Mega, Khadafi, and early Mobb, ain't shit that competes with Nasir Jones at his optimum.
QB itself produces an unique brand of emcee, poet laureates that are often well-versed in the linguistics of urban strife. What separates Queensbridge from any other slum or housing tenement is the unrecognized rapp genius that walks in and out on a continuous basis.

You still remember Cassidy? Back in '05, he was all over the radio with I'm A Hustla, the album selling quite a few copies, and the single catching play everywhere.
Cass got some real ill features for a NY battle rapper, even for '05 standards. Rae the Chef, Nas, Mary J? On 6 Minutes Of Death, he got mixtape Wayne and an focused Fab-O, to throw some lyrical murder over what sounds like a mixtape instrumental.

Jazz Lib is a group of three producers straight up outta Meaux, France. Cappadonna-Cap's Back Again

We all know Cappadonna right? Back in the late '90's and early '00's he was one of the most heavily prized Wu affiliates. I always see him in the same light as LA The Darkman. Both dropped a damn near classic first album. Real talk, The Pillage ain't shit to sleep on.

Back when they weren't broke up, and no one had a problem with Hov. I ain't much for early '80's shit, but the Fat Boys get play regardless what era they came up in. The rhymes may be simplistic, but in much the same way new-age bloggers salivate over Gucci Mane's kindergarten bars, I get a kick out of hearing Buffy the Human Beatbox drop turntable-esque damage.

Marco Polo & Torae feat. DJ Revolution-Double Barrel

You know you heard about this album earlier this year, and how bloggers would thoughtlessly rant and rave about MP's production prowess and Torae's ease with the wordplay. And shit, they more than deserved it, they crafted an opus of an 21st century album.
Double Barrel is the gem of said opus and delivers in an crushing manner. Torae's delivers rhymes like he was playing a game of Marco Polo with hip-hop. Ha.

Lupe Fiasco-Twilight Zone

'Pe jus' dropped a new tape which was on some mediocre shit, for his standards anyways, it certainly doesn't compare to the OG version of the Fahrenheit 1:15.
This jawn is Lupe simply spittin' anything that comes to mind and coming through with symbolism and witticisms unlimited. His rapp game was fierce a few years back.

Is it just me or has anyone else wondered what Wu and Primo would sound like? Guru is fun-da-mental to the GangStarr duo, but if Preem could recreate the magic he had with Inspectah Deck, he would have a winning formula on his hands. Shit might not be quadratic, but Inspectah Deck wrecks shit something proper on this jawn.

Dysfunkshunal Familee-Hit & Run

Can't say I know next to anything about this group, other than the obscure fact that Diverse (still unknown) was in this group. This jawn has an very oft-used loop whose name is evading me at the moment. The rhymes are right ill, and the instrumental will have your head nodding as well, the hook is wack, but 2 for 3 ain't bad.
