I don't quite remember how I got put on to this dude, but I finally listened to his tape, and found numerous gems. Slowed Oakland rapps with Mortal Kombat samples screwed & chopped. Track is definitely dope, reminds me a lot of Brand Nubian's similarly named Down For The Real.

I didn't really check for Don't Mention It when it came out, but I just done been did copped that shit and can cosign it as piff. I think this jawn was circulated around the big blogs before the tape dropped. Definitely an crazy instrumental, but the rapps are type complacent. Easily worth a listen, but nothing that really makes it warrant a 2nd listen.

You can find this on the Cookin Soul tape 1:00 A.M. And Rising that was released towards the end of last year. Shit's type quality, especially for some blog rapp shit. In my humble opine, Straight From Brooklyn is the lone gem of the tape. Cookin Soul got a feature from a genuine Brooklyn mixtape dude, in St. Laz, and dukes spits the realness.
