Brother Ali- Love On Display

If you don't know Soundset is an Rhymesayers sponsored concert held near the Minnesota Metrodome at the beginning of every summer. Just imagine the sheer number of cats associated with Rhymesayers, from well-known indie generals like Slug and El-P to dope up-and-comers like Blue Scholars to ill veterans like Cunninlynguists and One Be Lo to legends like The Pharcyde and Prince Paul. An eccentric and far-covering array of ill MC's and producers. All of them well-respected and dope enough to command their own concert let alone share a stage with other indie artists.
Out of all those cats I named and the numerous ones I didn't, Brother Ali shitted on all of 'em. B Ali polarized and captivated the audience as soon as he stepped on stage rockin' a Joe Mauer jersey. And he ripped/killed shit like no other in Soundset history.
Love On Display is more or less a tale of how Ali has been impacted about hip-hop, and it is introspective and genuine as can be. This is the type of song that can humble the most narcisstic human being. Trust.
