Granite State- Darker Than Blue

The Illmatic stannery is deep on this jawn, but I still digs it. Granite State is a group from New Hampshire (if you couldn't figure that one out for yourself), and they're affiliated with Statik Selektah and Showoff Records. In terms of their music, that means modern, simplistic, boom-bap production with a reliance on the hip hop of yesteryear for samples.
You can tell all of that on Darker Than Blue, which is a well-produced jawn, but an mediocre lyrical performance by Granite State (if you give The Breaking Point a listen, you'll see they're capable of far more).
