Public Enemy- Rebel Without A Pause

When you're new to hip hop, there are a few albums that are required listening. They are so ingrained in our lexicon that it's almost an foreign language without them. One such album is Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back. As many heads from the 80's will remind you, this is one of the few albums that actually made a difference. Sure, Fight The Power came off Fear Of A Black Planet, but it was the second album that really set the precedent of greatness.
On a sidenote, it still amazes me to what depth the Bomb Squad went with their sampling.

  1. Greatest album in hip-hop from the greatest year in hip hop. One of the absolute insanest singles as well. If you can remember that year, whew! Crack was everywhere but everyone still loved and supported PE.
