Big Daddy Kane- Rest In Peace

It's inevitable that you'll listen to the earlier Kane albums if you want to have any sense in hip hop history, however when it comes to his best material, I'd argue that came in the very late 80's and very early 90's, which is what makes Rest In Peace so remarkable. It's a good song, don't get me wrong, but it came out in '93. Not saying much?
Illmatic came out in '94 and think about the overall quality of that album. Now imagine that a year earlier, Big Daddy Kane (a legendary MC) is releasing material that could easily be confused for a late 80's release date. Looking back, it's a little confusing to say the least.

  2. If Big Poppa Kane were to die, would this really be the place to break the news?
